The Nevis Tourism Authority has unveiled major improvements to the iconic Hot Springs, a celebrated spot known for its mineral-rich, therapeutic waters and centuries-old history. This renovation not only revitalizes the springs but also boosts its appeal as a destination where history and relaxation meet.

A Site Steeped in History

Dating back over 400 years, the Hot Springs are famed for their soothing waters, which led to the creation of the Caribbean’s first hotel in 1778. After a fire in 2022 damaged parts of the historic Bath House, Nevis officials launched a comprehensive restoration, aiming to both preserve and modernize this beloved site.

Exciting New Features

In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and community members, the upgrade project has transformed Nevis Hot Springs into a vibrant spa destination. Highlights of the renovation include:

  • Enhanced Gardens and Walkways: Tropical landscaping and elegant flagstone paths now welcome visitors, adding scenic charm and a peaceful atmosphere.
  • Visitor Amenities: New restrooms, changing facilities, and a Welcome Center offer a more comfortable experience for guests.
  • Better Accessibility: With expanded parking, including six coaster bus spaces, Bath Hot Springs can now accommodate larger tour groups.
  • Dining Options: The new “Springs Café,” run by Chef Allison Smith-Mason, serves snacks, while gazebos and outdoor seating provide scenic spots to relax.
  • Refreshed Infrastructure: Key upgrades include a new roof for the shed pool, a refurbished well, freshly painted railings, and added waterfall and fountain features.
  • Digital Connectivity: Plans to add Wi-Fi and phone services aim to enhance convenience for today’s tech-savvy travelers.

The Nevis Tourism Authority thanks everyone involved in this successful project. With its rich history and renewed facilities, Nevis Hot Springs is now set to be a top wellness destination in the Caribbean.
