What You Need To Know Before Arrival

From 26 May 2025, travelers visiting St. Kitts & Nevis will need to clear a new digital hurdle before stepping off the plane. The country’s new e-Border system is now live. It aims to speed up entry while boosting security—but guests must act early to avoid delays.

What’s Changing?

All travelers must now use one of two digital tools before flying:

  • Citizens, residents, and OECS nationals: Fill out the Enhanced ED Form (free).

  • All other travelers: Apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) via knatravelform.kn or the SKN e-Border app (Android available; iOS coming soon).

The eTA costs US $8.50 until 31 August 2025, doubling to US $17 after that.

Who’s Exempt?

Not everyone pays the eTA fee. The following travelers are exempt:

  • Transit passengers

  • Accredited diplomats

  • On-duty crew and military

  • CARICOM nationals

  • Children under 2

Why Apply Early?

  1. Skip airport lines – Early applicants can fast-track entry through FaceLane from 2 June 2025.
  2. No airport Wi-Fi stress – Avoid scrambling for internet or approval on arrival.
  3. Faster group travel – Lead travelers can submit group forms in one go (up to six people).
  4. Fewer delays – Processing takes time. Early applications avoid snags, especially in peak season.
  5. Travel-ready – Entry credentials arrive before you leave, keeping plans on track.

Key Dates

  • By 25 May 2025: Any old ED Forms remain valid through 31 August.

  • From 1 September 2025: Every non-SKN/OECS visitor must present an approved eTA at check-in.
