Nevis hotel guide

Four Seasons Resort Nevis

A practical guide for guests staying at Four Seasons Resort Nevis on Pinney’s Beach, including the two ways to arrive from SKB Airport — at the resort’s Reception or directly at the resort pier — plus water-taxi connections and selected inter-resort travel.

Two ways to arrive — compare the Reception and direct-to-pier transfers before you book.

The short answer

Can a water taxi take me directly to Four Seasons Nevis?

Yes. Book Nevis can arrange a direct private water-taxi transfer from Majors Bay on St. Kitts to the Four Seasons Nevis pier using an authorised operator permitted to dock there. The water crossing takes around 15–20 minutes.

This is different from the Book Nevis transfer to Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception, which arrives on Nevis at Oualie Pier and continues to the resort by private road transfer.

The Four Seasons Nevis pier is not a public water-taxi landing, so a direct arrival there has to be arranged in advance as part of a booked transfer. The route you travel depends on the product you book: the direct-to-pier transfer ends at the pier, and the Reception transfer ends at Reception.

Last checked: September 2026. Book Nevis coordinates both direct Four Seasons pier transfers and transfers to Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception; the route used depends on the product booked. This is an independent Book Nevis guide to our own transfers.

Two different transfers

Four Seasons Nevis Pier vs Reception: what’s the difference?

Both are private Book Nevis transfers from SKB Airport, and both include a private water-taxi crossing. They leave St. Kitts from different places and finish in different places on Nevis.

Route 1

Direct to the Four Seasons Nevis pier

How the direct-to-pier transfer works on arrival:

  1. Meet after customs at SKB. Look for the Book Nevis sign in arrivals; your driver takes care of your luggage.
  2. Private road transfer across St. Kitts. About 25–30 minutes to Majors Bay on the Southeast Peninsula, with bottled water and guided commentary on the way.
  3. Depart from Majors Bay. Your bags go on board with you. This route does not use Reggae Beach.
  4. Direct private water taxi to the Four Seasons Nevis pier. Around 15–20 minutes on the water with an authorised operator permitted to dock there. Water, local bottled soft drinks and local bottled beer are provided on board.
  5. Step off inside the resort. There is no Nevis road leg and no stop at Oualie Pier.

Leaving by this route, the order reverses: you board at the Four Seasons Nevis pier at your confirmed time, cross to Majors Bay, and continue by private vehicle to SKB Airport.

Route 2

To Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception

How the Reception transfer works on arrival:

  1. Meet after customs at SKB. Look for the Book Nevis sign in arrivals.
  2. Private road transfer across St. Kitts. About 25–30 minutes to Reggae Beach, with bottled water and guided commentary on the way.
  3. Private water taxi to Oualie Pier. Around 6–10 minutes across The Narrows, with water, local bottled soft drinks and local bottled beer on board.
  4. Private Nevis road transfer from Oualie Pier. Your luggage moves from the boat to the waiting vehicle for the drive of around 15–20 minutes. Refreshments are not a standard inclusion on the Nevis road leg.
  5. Arrive at Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception. Allow around an hour in total from meeting your driver after customs.

Oualie Pier on Nevis, where the Reception transfer lands before the private drive to Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception. Direct-to-pier transfers do not stop here. For the difference between Oualie’s two piers, see our Oualie Pier guide.

Leaving by this route, you are collected at Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception and the order reverses: Oualie Pier, the water taxi to Reggae Beach, then the drive to SKB Airport.

Departures

Leaving Four Seasons for a flight from SKB

For Book Nevis airport departures, we normally schedule your pickup to get you to SKB approximately three hours before your flight departure.

Enter your flight departure time when you book. We work back from it: the time you need at the airport, then the travel time for the route you booked, and we set the pickup a little earlier to the nearest quarter hour. You do not need to work out a time yourself. See our Nevis to SKB departure timing for every Book Nevis route.

  • Four Seasons Nevis Pier → SKB: you board at the Four Seasons Nevis pier, cross to Majors Bay and drive to SKB Airport. We plan around 50 minutes of travel for this route.
  • Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception → SKB: you are collected at Reception, driven to Oualie Pier, cross to Reggae Beach and drive to SKB Airport. We plan around an hour of travel for this route.

Your confirmed pickup time is included in your booking confirmation and transfer details. If your flight time changes, reply to your confirmation email or message us on WhatsApp so we can recalculate it.

Where it is

Where Four Seasons Resort Nevis is

Four Seasons Resort Nevis sits on Pinney’s Beach, on the Nevis side of the channel that separates Nevis from St. Kitts. It is the largest resort on the island, and for many international travellers it is the reason they fly into St. Kitts (SKB) rather than a smaller regional airport.

Because the resort is on Nevis, most arrivals from SKB combine a short road transfer across St. Kitts with a private water-taxi crossing. The resort has its own pier, so you can arrive by private water taxi from Majors Bay directly at the Four Seasons Nevis pier, or take the Reception transfer via Reggae Beach and Oualie Pier with a private car on to the resort’s Reception.

  • On Pinney’s Beach, Nevis.
  • Arrival through SKB usually involves a St. Kitts road transfer plus a water taxi.
  • Arrive at the resort’s Reception via Oualie Pier, or by private water taxi from Majors Bay directly at the Four Seasons Nevis pier.
  • Useful for guests combining Nevis with a St. Kitts stay.
Inter-resort travel

From Four Seasons to St. Kitts resorts

Some guests combine Four Seasons Nevis with a stay at Park Hyatt St. Kitts or St. Kitts Marriott Resort. These are inter-island routes, and the arrangement differs depending on the resort.

Park Hyatt St. Kitts has its own pier, so the Four Seasons route to Park Hyatt is pier-to-pier: a private water-taxi crossing between the two resort piers. The Marriott sits inland at Frigate Bay, so that route adds a St. Kitts road leg after the water taxi. They are booked as separate products.

Planning

When it is worth booking ahead

Arranging your transfer in advance helps most when timing or logistics matter:

  • Families or larger groups travelling with luggage.
  • Late arrivals or early departures.
  • Stays split between St. Kitts and Nevis.
  • Guests using resort pier connections.
  • Peak travel dates and busy holiday weeks.
  • Travellers who want arrival details arranged before landing.
FAQ

Four Seasons Resort Nevis transfer questions

How do I get from SKB Airport to Four Seasons Nevis?

Book Nevis offers two private transfers, both starting with a meet-and-greet after customs at SKB. The Reception transfer (from US$399) drives you to Reggae Beach, crosses by private water taxi to Oualie Pier and continues by private car to Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception — around an hour in total. The direct-to-pier transfer (from US$550) drives you to Majors Bay and crosses by private water taxi straight to the Four Seasons Nevis pier, around 15–20 minutes on the water. Each is arranged as one booking.

It is booked as the SKB Airport to Four Seasons Resort Nevis Pier transfer.

Does Four Seasons Nevis have its own pier?

Yes. Four Seasons Resort Nevis has its own pier on Pinney’s Beach. It is not a public water-taxi landing: the Book Nevis direct-to-pier transfer arrives there from Majors Bay with an authorised operator permitted to dock there. The Reception transfer lands at Oualie Pier instead and continues by private car to the resort’s Reception.

Is Four Seasons Resort Nevis Pier the same as Reception?

No. They are different arrival points, which is why there are two transfers. The pier transfer crosses from Majors Bay directly to the Four Seasons Nevis pier, with no Nevis road leg. The Reception transfer crosses from Reggae Beach to Oualie Pier and finishes with a private drive of around 15–20 minutes to Four Seasons Resort Nevis Reception. See the side-by-side comparison.

How long is the water taxi to Four Seasons Nevis?

Around 15–20 minutes on the direct route from Majors Bay to the Four Seasons Nevis pier. On the Reception route the crossing from Reggae Beach to Oualie Pier is around 6–10 minutes, followed by a drive of around 15–20 minutes to Reception.

Which airport do you fly into for Four Seasons Nevis?

Most international visitors fly into Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport (SKB) on St. Kitts and continue to Nevis by private water taxi as part of the transfer.

Can I use the public ferry to get to Four Seasons Nevis?

The public ferry runs to Charlestown, the main town on Nevis, not to the resort. Using it from SKB still means a taxi to Basseterre, the ferry crossing, and another taxi on Nevis to the resort. For most Four Seasons guests a private transfer with the water crossing arranged is the simpler way to book the whole route at once. How early should I leave Four Seasons Nevis for my SKB flight?

We normally schedule your pickup to get you to SKB approximately three hours before your flight departure. Enter your flight time when booking and we work back from it, using the travel time for the route you booked (around an hour on either Four Seasons route) and setting the pickup a little earlier to the nearest quarter hour. Your confirmed pickup time is in your booking confirmation. See leaving Four Seasons for a flight.

Can I book Four Seasons to Park Hyatt transport?

Yes. Park Hyatt St. Kitts has its own pier, so the route is a pier-to-pier private water-taxi crossing between the two resorts, booked in either direction.

Can I book Four Seasons to Marriott transport?

Yes. The Marriott is at Frigate Bay on St. Kitts, so this route combines the water-taxi crossing with a road leg on St. Kitts. It is a separate product from the Park Hyatt route.

Can I book both arrival and departure transfers?

Yes. Arrival and departure are booked as separate products, so you can reserve the SKB to Four Seasons transfer, the return, or both. Booking a matching arrival and return pair together applies a roundtrip saving in the cart.
