The Hamilton Weekend: Discover Nevis Through History and Theatre This November
Nevis Sun Tours is running its last Hamilton Weekend of the autumn from Thursday 19 to Sunday 22 November 2026. It combines the company’s Alexander Hamilton Island Tour with The Trial of Hamilton & Nelson, a live courtroom drama in which the audience serves as the jury.
We checked these details on the Nevis Sun Tours website on 24 October 2026. The weekend is organised and sold by Nevis Sun Tours, not Book Nevis, so confirm the latest arrangements with them.
Two experiences within a four-day window
The four dates are the window for your stay. The tour and the performance take place on two of those days, and you choose one of two itineraries:
- Option A: the Alexander Hamilton Island Tour on Thursday 19 November, then The Trial of Hamilton & Nelson on Friday 20 November.
- Option B: The Trial of Hamilton & Nelson on Friday 20 November, then the tour on Saturday 21 November.
Nevis Sun Tours lists admission to the performance with reserved seating, the tour, transport between your Nevis accommodation and both experiences, and a commemorative jury lapel pin. It has not published a price for the weekend package.
The Alexander Hamilton Island Tour
Alexander Hamilton was born on Nevis and spent his early childhood here. This tour of about two and a half hours begins in Charlestown and follows his early life through the town, including his birthplace, now the Alexander Hamilton Museum. It continues by van to other sites from the mid-1700s, with short walks. For more on the capital’s history, see our guide to Charlestown’s museums and historic sites.
The Trial of Hamilton & Nelson
In this 90-minute production, Hamilton and Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, both linked to Nevis, are tried before a judge on four charges, including war, scandal and complicity in slavery. After the arguments on each charge, the audience votes as the jury. The performance takes place at Malcolm Guishard Park on Friday 20 November 2026. Confirm the start time with Nevis Sun Tours when booking.
Planning your stay
The weekend will appeal most to history readers, fans of the musical Hamilton and couples looking for something different to do on Nevis. It is designed around a stay on Nevis, and Nevis Sun Tours collects guests from any hotel, villa or guest house on the island.
Most visitors fly into St Kitts. From there you can take the public ferry from Basseterre to Charlestown, which runs to a fixed timetable and needs a taxi at each end, or book a private transfer, which takes you by road on St Kitts to a water taxi across The Narrows. Our private transfers must be booked at least 48 hours ahead. See how to get to Nevis to compare the options.
If you are staying on St Kitts, check the performance time before relying on a ferry or water taxi to get back the same night. Do not assume the published ferry timetable will accommodate the performance. Confirm your outward and return transport before booking.
How to book
